Bright full sun
Water when the top inch of soil is dry
Mist daily to increase humidity to prevent leaf drop
Feed once every two weeks with a diluted house plant fertiliser.

Originally, Ficus Ginseng Bonsai's only grew in parts of Asia, specifically China and Malaysia. They have been cultivate for thousands of years and are grown for 15 years in their native habitats in Asia before Dutch importers finish them off in their greenhouses. The name Ginseng refers to the plants shape; ginseng means 'root' in Chinese.

A lesson in patience
It takes years for these small trees to develop into the bonsais we know and love today. It takes up to 5 years for them to even begin to look like trees and can live up to 100 years if taken care of properly!

I usually buy scented candles that are quite subtle in nature but decided to be adventurous and purchased the candle gift set leaving the choice to Earth and Vine. The scents are are not what I would usually get but smell delicious. Absolutely lovely.

My aloe Vera plant arrived looking healthy and in good condition. When it grows some more I can't wait to start using it for it's health benefits as well (the plant comes in a good size but it looks pretty and I don't want to ruin it's form yet!)
